Jared McDonald

President

The members of our Executive Team are hard-working individuals committed to performing their jobs to the best of their abilities. Their leadership in their respected departments helps Unwired to be an efficient and cohesive company.

The Executives

Here at Unwired, Jared McDonald is our benevolent and in-no-way-control-freak president, he is a grade 10 student currently enrolled at Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School. Jared is a very well rounded individual (he made me write that), who has a very keen interest in the areas of business and entrepreneurship. Throughout schooling, Jared’s hard work has led him to fantastic grades, and numerous awards for being an academic student (as opposed to a non-academic student). He also spends numerous hours volunteering to make the school community a better place. Recently, he has won the Wolverine award in grade 9, which is the top award in the school. It is awarded to the student who overall, have a passion for learning, and gets good grades for doing so. As well, they are awarded for their dedication and interest in volunteerism. Jared’s academic portion of his life is very aspiring, and eventually he hopes to become a corporate lawyer, working for a large corporation making lots of dolla dolla bills. Outside of his dedication to his future, he likes to spend his spare time on the golf course (beating seniors in a game). Throughout Jared’s life, he has shown extreme leadership, all the way through elementary school to now, and at Unwired, his journey is just going to continue. By the end of the Company Program, Jared hopes to learn more about leadership, communication, teamwork and the business world, which will ultimately benefit him in the future!

Working as Vice President of Finance for our company, Unwired is Travis Neumannnnnnn (there's actually only two 'n's). Currently enrolled at Lord Beaverbrook High School in his first year. Born and raised in Calgary Alberta, he plans to continue his life here as an Orthodontist, bending people's teeth to perfection. With these future goals of going into dentistry, Travis knows what he wants and how he has to get it. Failure is never an option with him because as said before, he is as ambitious as Macbeth (who in no way was eventually killed for his over ambition). Travis is looking very much forward to his summer in which he is attending the Global Young Leaders Conference (not to be confused with Goat Yearning Lovers Conference) in Washington D.C.  as well as New York City. Only a couple weeks into his first year of high school, his science teacher, Mr. Hicks could see all of these aspects in Travis; therefore he was the one who sent him the nomination package to attend the conference. Because he cares so much about success and challenge in his education, his dedication has led him to become an honours student which has obviously allowed him to become a part of the honours society. As a Beaverbrook Honours Society executive, Travis volunteers at various places, helps out with vitally important things for the school such as Celebration of Excellence Awards Night, and also is involved in different activities to help out the less fortunate. His principal, Mr. Simpson specifically chose Travis to create the school presentation which showcases the vast amount of clubs and programs in the school. Teeeeeacher's pet. Soon he will be adding everything that happens in the school to that presentation, such as sports programs and options so that everyone can see what goes on in the school.

Arees Jiwani is a grade 10 student at Dr. EP Scarlett High School. He has a passion for the world of business and entrepreneurship. He is involved with the Junior Achievement Ambassador Program, where he demonstrates his skills and enthusiasm for the Junior Achievement Company Program. Arees is the kind of guy you want to be on a team with. He always demonstrates leadership, communication, presentation, reliability skills, and is always working to the best of his ability to achieve his goals. Outside of his interest for business, Arees is a very athletic. He plays a high level of competitive soccer, he was on the senior volleyball team in grade 8/9, and also has won several awards for badminton. He loves to be outdoors and playing sports, with his friends and family. He is a caring and nurturing young man who makes sure everyone is treated with respect. Arees also believes in education. He believes that his education will lead him to be successful. Giving back to the community has been an important aspect in Arees’ life. He volunteers his time and knowledge at his mosque and spends most of his summer helping disabled youth live a happy and trouble free life at the Between Friends Club. Arees has always had a passion for business. He has held the position of student president for his school where his business skills came into play. With that being said, Arees believes that with the potential UnWired encompasses, we can achieve the goal of Company of the Year.

Zameer holds the position of Vice President of Production in our company Unwired.  Zameer’s experience includes: being in the JA program for 2 years, being a Junior Achievement Ambassador, and past exposure in the field of production. This is his second year with Junior Achievement.  Zameer’s experience also includes being a Junior Achievement Ambassador where he helps promote the program by presenting to other students at schools and business professionals. Zameer attends Western Canada High School and is currently in Grade 11 in the International Baccalaureate Program. He is also involved in extra curricular activates including volunteering, debate and badminton.  He is an active member of Western Canada High’s Honors Society to reflect his academic achievements. Zameer’s plans for post secondary education include becoming a dentist. Zameer believes that Junior Achievement is a great program which allows him to learn more about the various aspects of business, and is sure that it will contribute to his future success in whatever career path he follows.
